At Habitat for Humanity of New Castle County, we believe in a world where everyone deserves a decent place to live. Here in New Castle County, Habitat NCC is committed to changing lives and landscapes by revitalizing neighborhoods and empowering the families we serve.
We build affordable housing, providing 0% interest mortgages to the hard-working qualified homeowners in our program. We perform and coordinate critical home repairs for low income homeowners, ensuring that they are safe, warm and dry. We partner with residents and stakeholders to revitalize neighborhoods and eliminate blight through neighborhood clean-ups and beautification projects. We empower homeowners, residents and volunteers to make lasting change in the neighborhoods we serve through education, training and advocacy.
Since 1986, Habitat NCC has built more than 250 homes and ranks among the top three Habitat northeast affiliates of 210 affiliates (from Delaware to Maine) in terms of housing production. Throughout our 33-year history, we have served more than 350 New Castle County families.
